W15 – Civic Engagement
Civic Engagement Activities empower students to take an active and meaningful role in their local communities. Through volunteer projects, service-learning experiences, and community initiatives, students develop responsibility, leadership, and collaboration skills.
Activities include visits to senior living homes, outreach to foster care institutions, and preparing care packages for individuals experiencing homelessness. Students also participate in aid and support efforts benefiting their state, local community, and the broader country, helping them understand the importance of giving back at multiple levels. These experiences raise awareness of social issues, foster empathy, and strengthen students’ sense of belonging and civic responsibility.
By engaging in hands-on service projects, students gain practical experience in teamwork and problem-solving while cultivating a lifelong commitment to community involvement and service to others.
