February 1, Saturday 2025 at Nocal This week, we gathered as NorCal middle/high school and college girls to celebrate the National Hijab Day!
The program included delicious food, beautiful Quran recitation, an incredible hijab show, a helpful panel discussion with professionals who shared their experiences as hijabis, as well as a lot fun games and gifts! The highlight of the night was the hijab fashion show where we watched different hijab styles from around the world as well as realistic every day hijab outfits. It was also really nice to congratulate girls who had recently decided to wear a hijab, listen to their feelings and experiences, and support their journey with thoughtful gifts. Everyone had so much fun playing the games, especially doing a hijab of a friend while blindfolded was extremely entertaining! Another lovely surprise of the day was exhibition of our photo contest. It was inspiring to see beautiful pictures everyone took along with reading the insightful reflections they made from the photos :)
