The students of Edmonton Weekend School had a wonderful start to this year’s Ramadan with a group iftar event held on March 15, 2024, at the Nebula Academy building. This iftar, which all the students eagerly and joyfully participated in, is being held for the second time this year. After last year’s iftar, students mentioned that the best activity they did during Ramadan was having iftar together with their friends.
The iftar program included prayers, the recitation of blessings, and congregational prayers. Students broke their fast with the iftar meals they brought. Additionally, to remember and practice the saying “Exchanging gifts is a Sunnah,” all students and teachers exchanged gifts, completing the iftar program in this way.
